Make Your Own Fire 🔥
2 Timothy 3:16–17 tells us that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Studies reflect this wonderful truth. It’s been proven that the more one studies the scriptures, the less likely they are to engage in risky behaviors or battle destructive thought patterns and the more likely they will be to boldly share their faith, even in a post-Christian culture. What if our greatest desires still await us? What if the transformation we’re searching for is hidden in the pages of the holy scriptures? What would happen if we hungered and thirsted for more of God and sought him diligently?
All you need is a spark...
Crave 2024. This year’s theme is ’Make Your Own Fire’ because 1. No one can make it for you and 2. You can’t live off someone else’s fire. This year’s conference will be centered around igniting a passion for scripture. It’s gonna be practical, hands-on, wildly fun, and transformative. Join us March 1-3 for a weekend dedicated to giving students the tools they need to dive into the word of God with their peers as they make their own fire.

We believe in the next generation now. That’s why at SAF all our NextGen Ministires have linked arms. Our philosophy is that we do this WITH students not for students. Our aim is to equip the next generation for what they are facing now, who God has called them to be now, as they grow into the men and women God has called them to be because there’s no age or personality clause in the great commission.
God is doing a mighty thing in this generation and we believe that revival will start with the youth of today.
At the MIX, we put a strong emphasis on building spiritual disciplines around the word of God, prayer, worship, and community. We know that in order for our students to thrive in their faith in the midst of a post-christian culture that it wont be easy, but it will be worth it and we want to give them all the tools and resources they need to be the light God has called them to be in the darkness. This becomes so beautiful when we encounter parents who recognize their role as the primary spiritual leader in their child’s life and we are able to just reinforce them.
THE REMIX happens on Sunday nights from 6pm - 7:30pm. The Remix is divided up between Junior High and High School. This is a time where we dive deep into the Bible together. Nothing sparks a personal passion for the word like gathering together over chips and queso and watching the word of God come to life. 🔥📖 Currently, the High school crew is breaking down Genesis and the Junior High crew is reading through John.

Equipping the next generation to walk boldly in their faith is so important and helping them do that at school is one of our greatest privileges. At SAF we encourage our students to start Jesus Clubs at their school if it’s something they want to do. Fun Facts: If it’s student led, all they need is a teacher sponsor and they can officially start their own religious campus club. This is a state protected right of every student in Texas. Our job is simply to champion them.
Currently we have Jesus Clubs at:
Glenn Junior High: Led by a 6th grader, reaching multiple grades for Jesus.
Central High School: led by a group of our HS students with a desire to reach their peers.
Cornerstone Christian School: Led by a 5th grader, reaching 1st-5th during lunch.
Want to start a Jesus Club at your school? Hit up one of our leaders at The Mix and we will help you get started!
