Baptism is a believer’s first act of discipleship, a step of obedience that stands as a witness that we belong to Christ. Baptism is like the wedding ring of salvation. In the same way, baptism is an outward symbol of an inward covenant we’ve made in response to Jesus’ offer of salvation.
Salvation happens through Christ alone! Baptism does not get you to heaven, Jesus does.
It does not save you, it is simply the first thing we see saved people do as a result of being saved.
Yes! To anyone who is coming to a new commitment to Christ, baptism is the biblical response.
Baptism is a public declaration of the old you passing away and being made new in Christ. If that describes your experience, then even if you’ve been baptized in the past, you are called to be baptized again.
Because we believe that baptism is a personal declaration of faith, we make a commitment to dedicate babies instead of baptizing them.
Baby dedication is a declaration of the parents and family of the baby to love and lead the child to Christ. It is the way a family can acknowledge that the baby is first the Lord’s, and an opportunity to have an entire church pray over them.
Baby dedications occur once in the spring and once in the fall. Information and sign-ups are located at the nursery.
