Renew My Vision
Revelation 3:7 …What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.
Revelation 3:11 I am coming soon…
Revelation 3:14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
• There was no _______________ behind their actions. They were just going through the _____________ of church.
Revelation 3:15-16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:21-23 (MSG) “Knowing the correct password—saying ‘Master, Master,’ for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, ‘Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God sponsored projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ‘You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make
yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.’
• No one is harder to reach for Jesus than a _________ ______________.
Revelation 3:17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
• They were rich in spiritual ________ but bankrupt in saving ____________.
Revelation 3:17 (MSG) “I know you inside and out and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot - far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.
Revelation 3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich, and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness…
…and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.
Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Reasons We Don’t Open the Door:
1. You don’t recognize it’s _______ out there knocking
2. You are confused about His __________
3. You are afraid of what you’ll have to _______ _____ to make room for Jesus
Revelation 3:21-22 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
RENEW - WEEK 5
Renew My Strength
“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.
God is ____________. What he ________ comes to pass.
Man tries to stop God’s plan.
Evil tries to stop God’s plan.
God has a plan to ____________ you in response to your ___________.
Death can't even ___________ God’s plans.
Keep this attitude.
Philippians 1:21- 23
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know. I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,”
I know your deeds. See I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.
Can Any one stop God?
3 reasons why God would shut a door in our life.
1. Because of our ____________.
2. For your ____________.
3. For his ____________.
The difficult part of trusting ____________ will is removing ____________ will.
I know your deeds; see I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
God not only knows your ____________ but he also knows your ____________.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
The blessing comes after the ____________ not ____________.
“I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars- I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.”
The ____________ is that people will come to know because of your____________.
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
Jesus is coming ____________.
WHAT HE OPENS NO ONE CAN SHUT, WHAT HE SHUTS NO ONE CAN OPEN.
The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Whoever has ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Hope in ____________ is what renews your ____________.
